How to get in
Section titled “How to get in”The Experts entry in the left sidebar — browse by category and start a conversation.
When experts are worth it
Section titled “When experts are worth it”Use them for:
- Judgments requiring expertise (contract clauses, financial analysis, technical review)
- Specific methodologies (architecture design, investment analysis, teaching)
- Multi-role collaboration (product + design + engineering perspectives)
- Fields where you don’t know what questions to ask
Skip them for:
- Quick factual lookups
- Purely mechanical tasks (fix a bug, write a script)
Get recommendations
Section titled “Get recommendations”If you’re unsure which expert fits, describe the need:
“I need to analyze a company’s financial report and judge whether it’s worth investing in.”
You’ll get candidates to choose from. If none fit, describe your need more concretely.
Techniques
Section titled “Techniques”Give domain background Experts need context too: industry, scale, your role, constraints.
Ask for reasoning
What’s the basis for this conclusion? What framework did you use?
If it can articulate the method, it’s really working professionally. If not, it’s just wearing a title.
Cross-check For high-stakes decisions, run it past a second expert and compare. AI makes mistakes; cross-validation cuts real risk.
Building your own expert
Section titled “Building your own expert”For scenarios you revisit often, package your own:
- Encode your methodology, terminology, and output spec
- Dedicated tooling handles management, updates, and compliance checks
- Once created, it’s invoked like a built-in expert
Worth doing when your niche has no off-the-shelf expert, or when you have a proprietary method.
A caution
Section titled “A caution”Experts provide a professional perspective, not authority. For legal, medical, or financial decisions, every AI output needs review by a qualified human.
